Criticising someone makes them feel inferior. And does telling people they are wrong make them want to change their mind? I don’t think so. Telling someone they are wrong can be a very powerful way of taking a direct swipe at their intellect, self-esteem, pride and judgement. And it doesn’t have to just be using words. You can criticize someone just by a look or tone or gesture just as much as you can by using words.

Telling someone they are wrong will just cause them to defend themselves and their actions and strike back. It definitely won’t make them change their minds. You have just hurt their feelings. Why would you think they would want to change their minds and agree with you?

Trying to prove something to another person is simply the same as saying that “I’m smarter than you” and I’ll show you why!

Quite rude isn’t it?

The only thing this will create is more challenge in the other person and a want to battle against you. Not a good way to start a communication channel between the two of you.

When it is already so hard to change someones mind, why on earth would you want to make the process any harder by trying to prove it to them?

By all means attempt to prove your point but do it so discreetly that no one is aware you are doing it. Do it with subtly.

There will always be times when you think someone is on the wrong. The best way to handle this situation is not to tell them that you think they are wrong. But imagine if you said that “maybe I am wrong but I thought this….” Or phrases such as this.

We must show everyone whether they are work from home internet business prospects or friends some respect for their opinions and treat them diplomatically and courteously. You never know you may well learn a thing or two from listening to someone else’s opinion.

Humans have a lot of habits. I am sure you could name quite a few of your own good and bad habits. These habits are very hard to change. So are peoples minds. Few of us are logical. We are built on emotion. We have preconceived ideas, jealousy, fear, anxiety and envy.

When anyone doubts or questions what we believe in we resent this intrusion and doubt and we cling even harder to our opinions and beliefs. Therefore it makes it even harder for anyone to change our minds. Our beliefs are what we think is true and we want to continue to believe in them.

So then, what does this mean with respect to our marketing of our work from home internet business? If we question peoples beliefs and tell them they are wrong then they will tend to hold on even harder to those beliefs and it becomes even harder to make them change their mind. People like to make their own minds up about things. So therefore if we tell them they are wrong and try and sell them our work from home internet business then they will not listen or change their minds.

We all must act with diplomacy and show respect for other peoples opinions and you will be highly regarded by them.
